Harvesting berries

Well between harvesting Berries, kids summer vacation and the many forest fires not much photography going on my way. I do have a few images to share.

Been a while since I had the time and energy to work on my journal. I am not much of a blogger as I perfer reading. I have stopped here a few times but mostly I have been busy elsewhere. As it is today was the first day in three days I had a clear day with no smoky air.


Another reason I have been gone is quite frankly Legend od Zelda Twillight Princess on my Wii. Addicting and frustrating. Oh well at least I kicked my kids butts on the Wii tabletennis. Got my butt handed to me in most other games I play the kids in.

Hey everyone it is IceArt time again. This week I am going to post the single block pieces. Multi-block will foloow as I have time.

I have finally ventured forth to see icf I can get better Aurora pictures as I am rather disappointed with my first attempts. I will post one or two of them later.

The wonders of Fall are around me now. I am spending more and more time outside harvesting natures bounty. Here is Alaska it is wild berry picking bear watching time. All around raspberries, blueberries, cranberry, crowberry and cloudberry patches. YUMMY oh course by bear watching I mean picking with your senses alert since we humans aren't the only ones harvesting the berries. I must also mention the great harvest being taken from us as we harvest despite the DEET. The Mosquitos seem to love this harvesting as well since most of the patches seem to have lots of hungry guardians you must ignore to get the sweets.

Not at home much but I will try to remember to take pictures between harvesting and eating the berries. Take care my friends.

Well after a few days I do think this new DA is a bit better. I have been playing around with it after the initial thoughts of WTF not again on the DA changes. Some of the features I really enjoy the ease of. I do wish DA would give some warning though.

I wonder should I post the pitiful air show photos I and the other half took? It really isn't what I myself considered an air show. Basically the base I live at heard the Thunderbirds were taking a rest break here so they rushed about and threw a pitiful air show. The day was overcast with frequent sprinkling. Nothing really big happened. I did snap a photo of an F-16 aggressor paint scheme since this base is the ARTIC red Flag of the Air Force. Not sure though Hubby did the Thunderbird shots but somehow changed my camera settings so they are all black and white.

Oh well on the plus side I got a few more boxes unpacked including my Anne McCaffrey hardbook Collection so I have winter dark entertainment!

I have posted a b-29 shot from the base. She ain't pretty and it is hard to get a good shot of the plane. Keep in mind this is the same type body that dropped the atomic bombs. This is a poor slowing being reclaimed plane. Very full of bulletholes from the local idiots who like to show their perfect aim.

Goodness guess I had more to say then normal. Oh well take care everyone let me know if B/W thunderbird shots interest you. Now I most return to killing the mosquitos who think I am so tasty!

Okay I pop into DA today to check on somethings and what do my annoyed eyes should appear.

GRRRRRRRR DA has once again changed. Still ticked about the last time they changed. FUDGEPIE I hate having to remaster DA.
